Physics and Astronomy at Iowa
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa is a flagship department with a rich history of exploration, discovery and innovation.
Visually representing the numerous groundbreaking projects is critical to telling the story and communicating the value they add to space research. For each of these projects, working closely with faculty was key to creating not only a compelling visual stories, but doing so in a way that is accurate to the science behind them.
The first project is a series of graphics and animations that are the visualizations of years-long research conducted by a joint initiative of the University of Iowa and Wheaton College. The client approached me looking to help visualize the complex narrative that explains how the Aurora, or Northern Lights are created.
