The University of Iowa’s Department of Sociology and Criminology is among the few programs of it’s kind. The blending of the fields of sociology and criminology provide students with a broad and diverse education that explores the complexities of society, crime and social justice. Students specialize in either field but are equipped with a deep understanding of both ares of focus that ultimately shape their careers.

As a part of this project, I was very involved with developing the sort of mission statement above. I was involved with refining and explaining a detailed marketing plan that justified the experience of the site. With the key audiences in mind, I began to interpret the market research into a layout that provided the most useful, usable and desirable web experience possible. By the project’s end, the experience synced with the goals outlined in stage one of the process and provided a user-friendly and highly-functional website.
